Will CBD Oil Make Me Fail a Drug Test?

CBD Oil and Drug Tests

New to CBD, are you worried about not passing a drug test at work? You’ve likely learned a little about CBD from a friend or even some of the doctors. Even the diehards, the ones that just can’t get over the idea that cannabis is better at some treatments. CBD Oil is being shown to bring relief for pain, anxiety, and as a sleep aid, just to name a few. For now, the question on everyone’s mind is,

Will CBD Oil Make Me Fail a Drug Test?

First of all, it is important to understand that drug tests don’t check for CBD. In fact, drug testing company in the US, does not currently even offer a CBD test.

No, CBD will not make you fail your drug test…. it’s not even tested for! Now, it is important to know that just because CBD won’t make you fail a drug test doesn’t mean you’re completely in the clear.

CBD, or cannabidiol, is just one of around 400 chemical compounds in the cannabis plant. The chemical responsible for making people high is THC. It is responsible for the high people feel when consuming marijuana. Most pre-employment and agencies do test for THC in their standard test. Because most CBD products contain a small percentage of THC, they could cause a positive test result.

How much THC is in CBD Oil?

Most of the CBD Oil products currently on the market are what’s known as Full Spectrum CBD. This means that they come from the hemp plant and can contain a maximum of .03% of THC.

According to the US Department of Agriculture the term Industrial Hemp is applied to any cannabis plant with less than three tenths of a percent of THC. Using any CBD Oil Extracted from Industrial hemp will give you only a very minute amount of THC, far less than what would trigger a positive drug test in any but the most extreme quantities of use.

Before buying Full Spectrum CBD Oil you should check the quality and manufacturing standards of the company you are buying from. Because the cannabis market is not currently regulated it’s very possible to get a company selling a CBD Oil with a high THC percentage and advertising it as a Hemp Based CBD Oil.

At CBDMAX.com we limit the THC in the full spectrum products to the .03% standard.

What about Broad-Spectrum CBD?

Broad-Spectrum Hemp Extracts (CBD)

Broad-Spectrum Hemp Flower Extract are a full spectrum extract that has been processed to remove the risidual THC from the oil.

CBDMAX.com our Broad-Spectrum Hemp Flower Extract (CBD) Products, that have less than 0.00% THC. We call it a T-free line of products due to the fact that under normal testing, the THC is undetectable. It is our opinion that using this line of products you will not fail a common drug test.

What about CBD Isolate?

If you are still concerned about your risks of failing a drug test another option for you is CBD Isolate. This is a product that has been refined to only contain CBD without any of the other chemical compounds normally found in hemp.

While this can be beneficial as you get pure CBD, you will miss out on the “Entourage Effect”, that many researchers believe is one of the keys to the substance’s effectiveness. While we do believe there is something to the Entourage Effect, it is not yet proven.

You might not be missing anything at all… except the worry of a failed drug test!

At this time CBDMAX.com does not sell CBD isolate products due to the fact that it is not clear that the isolate products have any benefit other than reduction in inflammation by the CBD. If you leave the other 400 cannabinoids in the oil, the benefits are thousands of times better.
