Selecting the right CBD products

You’re looking for a safe, easy, and predictable CBD experience. How do you choose a product that delivers? Should you opt for full-spectrum CBD, broad-spectrum CBD, or CBD isolate? Let’s take a closer look at what sets these extracts apart, and why Canopy insists on using only the purest CBD isolate.

All are extracted from hemp plants

full-spectrum CBD, broad-spectrum CBD and CBD isolate come from the same place and are derived through similar processes, but do have a few key differences.

Full-spectrum CBD Derived from industrial hemp. According the US department of Agriculture hemp must have less than .03% THC.

This is not enough THC to give you a “HIGH” effect, but does give

you the most natural pain relief from the hemp plant.

Neither broad-spectrum CBD nor CBD isolate contain detectable amounts of THC. But both have been purified from the full-spectrum oil so there is some level of THC in both of them.

Full-spectrum CBD is the ONLY hemp extract that still contains all the other cannabinoids present in the plant.

Full-spectrum CBD Derived from industrial hemp

Full-spectrum oil is the most desired form of CBD among consumers. It reflects the original profile of the hemp plant, evoking a phenomenon known as “the entourage effect.” Studies have found full-spectrum CBD to be more effective than its processed counterparts, such as broad-spectrum CBD and isolates.

Broad-spectrum CBD is hemp extract from which only the THC has been removed. That means ~100 other cannabinoids, terpenes, and flavonoids. This process is preferred over isolate CBD since the user can benefit from some of the entourage effects.

CBD isolate is made from hemp extract that has been refined several times to produce the purest CBD product on the market. All of the plant’s other cannabinoids are removed, as are the extract’s color and flavor profiles. As CBD is the only active ingredient in the isolate, it is flavorless and odorless. The entourage effect of nature’s perfecting blending of healing power is completely removed from this type of product. for a seamless, discreet experience.
